Macrophage GM-CSF signaling model
A simplified network of how a macrophage responds to GM-CSF and to classic M1 and M2 polarizing signals, from my Ph.D. work in the MeLoDy Lab at the University of Pittsburgh.
Macrophages are immune cells that change their behavior depending on the signals around them. Inflammatory "M1" signals push them toward attacking pathogens; "M2" signals push them toward repair and resolution. GM-CSF (granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor) is a growth factor that shapes both. This model captures the genes, transcripts, and proteins that carry those signals from the cell membrane into the nucleus and back out again.
How to use it: choose a stimulus scenario, then hover over (or tap) any node to see its positive and negative regulators and its simulated activity trace under that scenario. Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, and drag nodes to rearrange them.
